It's been more than 3 years...
Hello to any one reading this
-
It's almost over 3.5 years I haven't even touched this blog. Lot's of things have happened within
this time. I could
make like 20 seperate blogs regarding that. But I will keep it brief. And then highlight few of the
striking things that have
impacted my life so far.
-
I finally graduate somewhere in July 2024 from my college. The period of November-December 2024 was
probably some of the most
impactful and greatest time of my life so far. I won't go into detail, but it was like a serene
discovery, achieving the highest
form of clarity imaginable. Some ultimate realizations that I couldn't even write down here for now.
-
After struggling with the withdrawl symptoms throughout the month of Nov 2024 from a lifetime of
caffeine addiction, I finally quitted
caffeine and I am still caffeine free as of now.
-
From Dec 2024 to Dec 2025 I did internship at National Stock Exchange. I am trying to cram a whole
year under an internship here
but again, there have been other significant discoveries made by me, about life in general as a
continuation of the clarity
I had gained end of 2024.
-
And as of currently, I am working in IBM as an Application Developer. Joined in May 18, 2026. Around
2 months in BCIT Bangalore for induction
and JRS training and the final assessment. And then from Bangalore to Bhubaneswar and for the last 3
months or so I
am here. Been to my home 3 times already! I might get into the details and rants in later blogs but
not here.
Things that have changed
-
Brief timeline
-
May, Jun, Jul 2026 -> flight to Bangalore -> Hotel and then 3 sharing PG in Thanisandra, North BLR
-> induction training
at IBM BCIT -> then technical training at Manipal BFSI
-
Jul 2026 -> train to BBSR -> Yelhanka JN - SRC JN AC Express -> 3 sharing PG in Niladri Vihar ->
Vande Bharat back in Howrah
and then Cab to Sealdah and then home after a long time! -> Back to BBSR in Shatabdi -> officially
joining
IBM BBSR office
-
8 Aug -> Azure certification (in person exam at DLF Cybercity)
22 Aug -> Claude Developer certification (in person exam)
end of August -> went to home in Bus, came back in BBSR Jan Shatabdi
-
Early September -> got to see my person of interest at the office for the First Time, very intense
and nervous moment
Late September -> completed AWS certification (again in person exam), went back home in Puri SDHA
Duronto DL1
Early October -> came back to BBSR in HWH SMVT Duronto DL1 (the best train from the standpoint of
time and halts, with the
next halt after HWH being BBS itself!)
-
19 Oct (current time) -> Holiday in the Kolkata office. It's Maha Ashtami. BBS and rest of the
locations have a common holiday
tomorrow. So decided to WFH today. Tomorrow is holiday and then from Wed to Fri I will go to the
office as usual.

Without a doubt, a lot of things have changed so far. I feel like I can write 2 volumes of book
about it!
But I will keep it as short as possible.
-
First time on flight to Bengaluru, solo, mid night, 2000 kms of journey. I can write a whole blog on
my Bangalore experience
alone for those 1.5 months.
-
You might notice I am not as excited about trains as I used to be few years back. My old self would
be beyond overwhelmed
with all the trains I have boarded so far, flight, new cities, the hills of Odisha, the Deccan
plateau, the foods - so many things..
-
Also, corporate life. Much different. Lots of nuances. But I am also far more independent. So many
places to travel here in Odisha.
I could easily make plans in the weekends. But I haven't yet. Think I have become a bit lazy,
regarding everything, not just
rail fanning. But now that I have started this blog again that old interest might rekindle a bit.
Could also dump some rant about
my current life.
-
Bhubaneswar is not a bad place. Yes there were some initial dissapointment. Perhaps my expectations
were too high.
But Bangalore felt like it had more exposure, more opportunities. BBSR on the other hand is kinda
close to my home,
around ~500km. It is also quite clean. People somehow seem somewhat nicer than what I had
experienced in and around my
city. But yeah, just wanted to let anyone reading this know that I haven't abandoned this site yet.
I did remember it. And I think moving forward
I am going to need it to dump out all my thoughts, my frustrations, my experiences, my opinions or
wharever I feel like honestly.
Please ignore the grammatical & spelling errors. I am just typing out my thoughts in hurry. Don't
wanna filter it
through the AI. This entire site was build from scratch before the existance of ChatGPT and I would
like to keep it
that way, if that makes the things here more human.

See you in the next one :)
